L&F Brown receives most of its personal injury matters through referrals from trusted colleagues. Every case is led by UCLA Law–trained senior partners, from the initial call with the referring attorney through resolution.

Every case is handled directly by a Senior Partner. We intentionally limit our caseload so that each client receives focused attention and consistent communication.
Our hands-on approach often resolves cases within 6–9 months, significantly faster than the industry average of 18–24+ months, while delivering more favorable outcomes.
We value our referral relationships and are proud to share a fee split with our attorney referral partners.
We ensure that all referral fees and fee splits are handled promptly and transparently, in full compliance with California Rule of Professional Conduct 1.5.1 and the ABA Model Rules on fee-splitting. Fees are only shared with a written agreement, with the client’s informed consent, and after the matter is resolved.
One of our founders, Curt Brown, Esq. is a professor of legal ethics and the country’s foremost expert on fee-splitting and referral fees. He has taught numerous classes on the subject, bringing unmatched expertise to every referral relationship we maintain.

At conclusion of the case, we execute the agreed upon referral fee arrangement, subject to client authorization and bar rules.
