Richard L. Armstrong is a seasoned business attorney with over 40 years of experience. He offers comprehensive legal counsel to businesses at all stages of growth, often serving as outside general counsel.

A published author and recognized speaker, Richard has a long record of client-centered legal representation. In a career full of success stories and highlights, Richard is most known for his win invalidating a noncompete covenant against a former employee in a major lawsuit against Kaiser Permanente of California and securing damages. He also tried a case for breach of partnership, resulting in a Texas Supreme Court opinion.

Richard has also served as a testifying expert in a case seeking to reform or invalidate a non-compete covenant in Tarrant County, leading to a settlement before trial.

With extensive community involvement and leadership roles in bar associations, including as President of the Plano Bar Association and Director of the Collin County Bar Association, Richard is a dedicated advocate both in and out of the courtroom.
