Sabra Qassimyar Loses Trial, Ordered to Pay $17,219

Sabra Qassimayar lost a confirmed arbitration and was ordered to pay $17,219.00 to L&F Brown PC.

The arbitrator dismissed all of Ms. Qassimyar's claims with prejudice and ordered her to pay the firm's fees in full. Ms. Qassimyar later asked the court to throw out that result, but the court found no evidence to support her position. The court denied her request to vacate the award and confirmed it in full, entering judgment against her for the full amount.

Sabra Qassimyar has filed a notice of appeal. In the meantime, L&F Brown Law Firm will collect on the judgment.

The firm also prevailed on its CCP § 998 motion and, following resolution of the appeal, intends to seek recovery of its costs against Ms. Qassimyar, totaling over $46,906.60.
